Publication
Editorial policy
How Health Insider Plus reports explainers, comparisons, and reviews.
What we publish
We publish explainers, practical guides, listicles, and product reviews about wellness and nutrition. A guide that compares labels says it is a comparison. A story about habits is not a treatment plan.
We would rather be specific than impressive. Serving sizes, forms, and ingredient lists stay in the piece. We do not invent reader totals, awards, or expert stamps.
How comparisons are built
Each comparison says why those items are on the page. Specifications — form, serving, pack size, and a price when we have checked one — sit apart from the editorial notes: pros, cons, and who the format suits.
We compare elemental amounts and labeled servings, not slogans on the front of the pack. A higher number does not automatically win.
Research and firsthand testing
Reading public references and comparing labels is different from testing a product in person. When we use a public source, we name it.
We say “hands-on tested” only when the piece describes what we did, what we saw, and what that test cannot show. We do not publish a score unless the method and the inputs are on the page.
Corrections
When we get a fact wrong, we correct the page and update the date. The change should be visible in the piece, not buried.
